Graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. He is a partner of the tax department and speaks fluent English, Russian and German. He worked in a tax department of Deloitte & Touche, Prague, where he was assigned to long-term working stays at the branch offices in London and Frankfurt. Until March 2005 he worked at the position of an indirect tax department manager of the Prague-based branch of KPMG. His professional activities include VAT planning for multinational and Czech manufacturing corporations as well as customs duty consulting for industrial enterprises. Within the process of the accession of the Czech Republic to EU he participated in implementation of new tax regulations in numerous prominent Czech companies. Recently, he has also gained his reputation as a recognized author of papers and publications dealing with VAT issues associated with intra-community transactions. He also participates in the legislative process in the field of VAT and, among others, he is a lecturer of seminars for professional public audience.
